New York City is living in the future!!!

Look at the Mayor announcing the city will now use trash bins instead of dumping their trash on the streets like barbarians.pic.twitter.com/c49dAlWC26
New York learning about trash cans in 2024 is an insane flex. https://t.co/SBaxvoylAH

Earlier this year, New York discovered auto-loading garbage trucks. Now, they've unveiled the latest in state-of-the-art technology: trash bins.

Thirty-five years after they were introduced in Ireland, New York City mayor Eric Adams has unveiled the city's first official NYC bin for trash pickup, along with a timeline aimed at getting residential units to put their rubbish into containers | https://t.co/bbkfwzE3P6 pic.twitter.com/hBNsrHp1Co

A genuine question here, what makes New York great that its name dominates the world when they don't even have trash bins?

I arrived in Sydney on September 2nd 2003 and every single house had a trash bin.
Haha, the USA has scammed the world by making us believe that they are… https://t.co/PG2TWVGhNy
After wheeling out a garbage bin and throwing a bag of garbage in it, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said:

Your tax dollars hard at work New Yorkers!!

Congratulations to New York City, which has seemingly invented the trash can. https://t.co/DsobuqgiG4

it is genuinely hilarious that new york is such a locus of cultural ignorance and narcissism that they are acting like they invented containerizing trash about a hundred years after every other US city surpassed them in hygiene https://t.co/pqiiRznvsB

New York City is so filthy the Mayor had to address the city and perform a demonstration on how to take out your trash??

NYC will now use trash bins like the rest of us have since the 1930s. Welcome to the modern era NYC. Glad you could finally join the rest of us "backwards, uneducated" people. https://t.co/XGTmNHWktY pic.twitter.com/sEFF1SYvQE
